- Design and develop electrical systems for construction projects
- Collaborate with architects and contractors to ensure electrical systems meet project specifications
- Conduct site inspections to assess electrical installations and troubleshoot issues
- Prepare and review technical documentation including specifications and reports
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety standards
- Perform load calculations and select appropriate electrical equipment
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems
- Assist in project planning and budgeting related to electrical components
- Provide technical support during the construction phase and address any electrical concerns
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Project management experience is a plus
